Insbesondere die Geschichte von Mary Stuart, Königin der Schotten im 16. Jahrhundert, wie auch die Jakobiterrebellion von 1745, deren letzter Aufstand mit Culloden, der letzten Schlacht auf Britischem Boden, und der versuchten Ausrottung der Highlandkultur endete, findet immer wieder den Weg in ihre Texte. Einige von Rebecca Loebberts Texten sind im Original auf Deutsch verfasst, andere auf Englisch. In dieser Ausgabe stehen sich jeweils der Text in der Ursprungssprache und eine Übersetzung in die jeweils andere Sprache gegenüber. Damit immer klar ist, welches die originale Fassung ist, ist die Übersetzung kursiv gedruckt.
